Can't get rid of the green

Postby POOLY » Mon 28 Jul, 2008 12:53

PH and alkalinity within ok range. I put in shock and hour later added algaecide but it's 24 hours later and no change

any suggestions? Is it safe for me to swim?

Do not swin in pool- have your chlorine level checked- Our pool is green & just had it checked - told we have too much acid in the pool & the chlorine will not work. Have to drain 1/2 the pool. & retest.

I wouldn't swim until the water is clear.

If you have numbers of your chemical balance, post them and I'll try to give some advice. Pool size and type would help also.

I'm guessing you have too much cyanuric acid in the pool?
