Water at bottom of deep end problem with digging

I have dug the pool deep end out but the water table is high. I rented a 2" pump to pump the water out but the water is so muddy the hose gets clogged.
Anybody have any suggestions on how to get rid of this water? This cant be a new problem. Must be common.
