White "calcium" coating

Postby Foxy » Thu 31 Jul, 2008 06:06

Help, I have a fibreglass inground pool that has a white coating of what I assume to be calcium caused by the very hard water in this part of southern spain. I have now drained the pool and attempted to remove the calcium build up by using assorted household products. If I scrub hard enough I can get thru to the original blue finish of the pool but a tiny area takes forever to clean. Would an "acid wash" or something dissolve the cal without damaging the pool, any advice welcome. :?
