please please help

Please help!
I opened my pool two weeks ago. Got the ph levels correct.
We used the leaf net to remove most of the debris, we then put in 1kg of shock granules and left pool on filter for 24 hrs. We then started to use an automatic cleaner and vacuumed to waste and on filter (not sure which one to use so did both). After 1 week the pool was still very green so we added 2 and half kgs of granular shock. Left for further 24hrs and continued to vacuum. Then added half a litre of clarifier continued to vacuum but pool still cloudy and light pea green. After approx 5,000 gallons of water i decided to add the rest of the clarifier half litre, vacuumed again still cloudy
AT MY WITS END PLEASE HELP. AM I EXPECTING TO MUCH TO SOON

Check your filter!! Is it sand? Is it over 5-7 years in use? Did you really shock the pool to kill the green stuff? If you kill the stuff the water will return to blue. If after this the water is still cloudy and won't clear, have the filter checked.
