leaf rakes

Postby pool_girl » Sun 10 Aug, 2008 17:15

The best leaf rake I've been able to find still doesn't hold up - it pops out of its frame. Can anyone suggest are really good make/brand that will hold up? I saw one on wheels which looked interesting as the wheels would reduce the wear and tear the rim takes, but I wonder if it would do as good a job scooping up the debris. Help?

All pool accessories are basically garbage. They last 1-3 years, if you're lucky. Pool rakes are a joke. If the netting of the bag doesn't degrade in the first or second year, the net will pop out of its frame, as yours did. There are no great rakes out there, sorry to say. I've been a pool owner for twenty years, now. I go through rakes about one every 1-2 years. Get used to it.
