Over here in Cyprus we are suffering from a drought. Whats to stop me putting seawater in a pool and just chlorinating it in the usual way?
I know there will be corrosion problems, but I guess a new pump every few years is cheaper than rare freshwater at $10/ton delivered.

No need chlorine..Just keep the water changing.
