Another newbie opening pool 1st time, plugs ???

I had pros close my pool last year.
I've gotten as far as taking my cover off and getting alot of leaves out.

My problems are I have a basket with different plugs.
I've figured out one goes on the bottom of the sand filter but the others I can't seem to find. There are 3 plugs plus 2 styrofoam looking plugs.

Any idea where these go?
Also do i have to use special tape on the plugs to prevent water leakage if it's the case?

I figured them all out.
2 plugs for the pump, 1 plug for the sand filter. The 2 styrofoam lookin' plugs are for the pool ladder, duh!
