Inground concrete pool. I want to add a built-in autofill unit (Pentair) to my pool. What is the proper way to bore the hole for the equalizer (fill) PVC pipe and do I just use hydraulic cement to pack around the PVC fill pipe to keep it from leaking? I think the wall is about 8" thick. My plan is to drain enough water to use a large masonry drill bit and then just kind of punch a scrap piece of pipe the remaining 18" to to reach the place where I can bury and plumb the auto-fill unit.
I will appreciate any hints or helpful comments.
