Muriatic Acid - Leaked in Car Trunk

Any suggestions as to how to neutralize the acid and remove the smell from my trunk liner?

Hope it is not color. add chlorine to it. that will knock it down than clean it with soap before the chlorine starts to work on your carpet.

Excellent idea, and depending on which chlorine he tries it may ignite and/or cause an explosion and/or produce toxic fumes.
