Aqua Rite Problems

I purchased a new home which has an aqua rite system & i am trying to troubleshoot a few problems.

1. The no flow light is on; i traced the wire & it is cut. Can i splice this together or reconnect to the "phone jack" fitting?

2. My first reading says "hot" & the second says 170. I am positive my temperature sensor inside the pipe is correct & my water temperature is 62 degrees. what is causing it to read hot 170? how do i correct this problem?
