Solar Blanket Question

Postby bryant1976 » Tue 24 Mar, 2009 13:09

I have a 14 X 28 4ft. inground pool, but cannot find a solar blanket that will fit my pool. There is one on sale at lowes for a 16 X 32 ft pool. Would this suffice? I've never used a solar blanket, so I have no clue. Thanks in advance!

You can trim it down to fit. Do this in two stages. The first trim, cut the blanket larger then your pool. Maybe use the outside of the coping as your guidline. Shrinkage after trimming is common in most blankets. Leave it in the pool so as to expose it to the elements for a week or so. Then you can do a second and final trim.
