sand filter letting water outof overflow hose,Hayward filter

my above ground sand filter is letting water out of pool through overflow hose,when set on filtration,and controls on top of filter are very loose,what do you suggest,thanks brokedown rr

I'm having the same problem, + some sand is coming out a little at a time. I just changed the sand though and the laterals were fine.

I had this problem and it was a simple fix . I do not know how long you have had your filter but check the gasget in the filter head under the handle. It is possible it is worn and you are just getting a little blow by

yes check your multiport spider gasket, it will get eaten up and worn out and may need to be replaced.
