Can anyone give me advice on what is the best automatic pool vac to buy for under 400?

Hi,

Are you looking for a suction side cleaner? That is the type that connects to your skimmer and works off that suction.

What type/size pool do you have? In ground/above ground?

Don't know if there is a "best" one. Hayward Navigator, PoolCleaner and Baracuda are probably at the top of the list in that price range. I use a Baracuda and have been happy with it. A lot depends on type of pool and type of mess you get in the pool.
