conversion to salt not going well

Postby dream pool » Sat 03 Jun, 2006 13:34

Last Saturday my pool was opened and a salt generator installed. It is just now starting to clear up - cloudy not green! But I notice that every now and then there will be milky clouds coming out of the jets and there will be a white residue floating on top of the pool. The salt generator says it is at the proper level of salt. Not sure what to do next.

What are your reading on the water? My recommnedations would be to put in a non chlorine clarifier, a stabilizer tablet.

backwash the filter good and also maybe filter cleaner and/or sand change.
