Pump hours

Need to run pump during the day, every day. Basically for an outdoor pool, as a rough rule of thumb, if the sun is shining on the water, the pump needs to be on. In my case, I set timer to start pump at 10AM and run until 7PM. I get some shade from the house and trees in the morn and evening hrs.

If you have a automatic pool cleaner that uses a seperate pressure pump, its' start time needs to be delayed until the main pump has run at least 30 mins to purge out any air that may be working its' way out of the system. I set mine to start at 11AM and run it abt 2 hrs.

When I return home from work, I use the net to scoop out any leaves or other debris still in pool so it doesn't soak in there all night breaking down. Also clean the skimmers every day at the same time I scoop out the leaves.
