Couple of quick questions?

Postby Industen » Mon 22 Jun, 2009 06:33

1.) Is it bad to have a solor cover on an inground pool all the time? Only removing it when you decide to use it? Should it be off from time to time to allow for better circulation?

2.) I notice even after backwashing that my filter spits back decolored water back into the open via the return line. This is when using an aqua droid or vacuum. The trouble is the filter is only 2 years old and the sand the same.

The only reason I ask these questions is my water chem is really good but cannot pinpoint why I have to vacuum all the time only to vacuum again later. I can not keep up with vacuum to waste before it's below the skimmer. The shallow end is clean where the deep end always need vacuuming(where the return is).

Chlorine 3
PH 7.6
Alk 100
CYA 60

Your readings are darn near perfect. Sand filter, you may have a broken lateral. You might need to take out the sand and check them.
