Minimal suction when vacuuming

Postby useless » Wed 24 Jun, 2009 22:18

Hi, I just bought a house and the pool had been sitting for a year untouched! The pool is great now but I can not get enough suction for the automatic cleaner to move around the pool. I can do it by my hand vacuum. The filter system is cartridge and I have replaced them already. I think that someone has put something down a pipe or a drian is not working properly. When I get full pressure the pressure of the pool goes up as well and the spa almost loses all of it's water. Could anyone please help me? Can I snake it to get more suction?
In need of answers please
