Too much Algecide in pool

Postby vernonh » Mon 29 Jun, 2009 13:38

My pool had some alge in it, so I took an half of bottle algaecide and poored it Like I sprinkle shock around the pool, well I think I added too much.

Every time I Turn on the pump the algaecide starts appearing again and covers the pool. How long till it s safe to swim again and It doesn't appear?

depends on what sort of algaecide you have used and what the active ingredient is.

As for addign to much ? how big is your pool and what did the directions say ? as a male i know the fine print on the back is often hard to read, but sometimes helpful

some algaecides will foam for a while, but this generally goes within a few days
