Alkalinity to low

Problems relating to pH and total alkalinity.
Increase ph, increase TA. Reduce pH, reduce TA.
pH chemistry advice and techniques for the pool.

how long must I wait after adding baking soda to check my alkalinity?

Depending on many factors not the least of which is circulation. In any event you need to wait at least 4 hours and I would bet it will change some for 8.

Ok I've added 28lbs of baking soda to the pool so far and nothing. I am still getting no TA reading ???
What now, I'm stumped
