New pool owner

We just installed a 24 above ground pool. The pool was used and had not been used for around 4 years. Everything went together great, except now we are having an issue with the water. We took a water sample to the local pool store, they told us to use Burnout mixture and 1 backup. We have done this and the is clear. But when we start to pump the water we get out of the inlet is cloudy, but goes to clear after pump is shut off. originally we thought it maybe a bad sand sand filter, but we bypassed the filter and are getting the same problem direct from the pump to the pool. Any suggestions.
