Urgent!. Refinishing grout under liner

I am replacing a vinyl liner with a grout bottom pool and fiberglass walls. There is a shotgun effect on the liner in many areas of the bottom. How should I go about repairing the bottom before putting in the new liner? I have a new liner and am trying to get prepared now.
