Umbrella in pool impacting PH?

I have an umbrella holder in my plaster on my acapulco shelf. The umbrella has some of the paint eroded away leaving exposted aluminum. I am having some low PH issues. Can the exposed aluminum be the cause of the problem?

Very unlikely. If you are using Trichlor pucks/tabs as your source of chlorine, then that is the source of your low pH since Trichlor is very acidic (especially when accounting for chlorine usage/consumption which is also acidic).
