Postby traveliner » Wed 19 Aug, 2009 10:59

hi I am new to the forum and have a problem with my filter, it keeps pumping sand ito the pool I have cleaned it out inside and checked everything and all seems ok new valve seat fitted last year is in great condition as well , I replaced the sand and now more sand comes into the pool, Could the sand be worn and going through the slots in the centre ports on my silica2 filter ? any ideas i am completly stuck on this one. Regards Andy

Sand in pool

I believe when sand enters the pool it is either too worn down or one of the lateral is broken. Possibly even the smallest crack can send sand back into the pool. You may need to scoop the sand out and check every lateral again.
