Losing pressure when vacuuming

Postby borges23 » Thu 22 Oct, 2009 18:08

The circulation water is good on a daily basis. Once I begin to vacuum, the pressure goes from 10 to 3 and the vacuum hardly pulls the water from the pool. When I pull the hose from the skimmer the pressure goes back up to 10. Any ideas to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Something is probably stuck in the vacuum or the hose.

The pump is become water starved and may be sucking air too. Try open the main drain a bit and see if that helps.

Yes, the hose could have an object in it. the hose might be cracked somewhere.
