Pressure increased from 22 to 25 PSI

Just before I closed my pool, I noticed that the pressure had increased from 22 to 25 PSI. Normally the pool filter runs with a pressure between 22 and 23 PSI. I backwashed the filter but the pressure did not change. There was frost the night before. Do you think ice could have built up in one of the lines causing the increase in pressure? I did not notice any blocked lines as I was cleaning them out. Any other causes for the increased pressure that I may have missed. It may be fun in the spring finding this problem.

Temperatures need to be well below freezing for an extended period of time before water will freeze in the pipes so I doubt it was ice. Usually, higher pressure is caused by the filter but 3 PSI is not all that significant. What type of filter do you have?

I have a Hayward s244t filter (300 lbs). I had replaced the sand earlier in the year and everything was fine up until the day before closing the ppol.
