Which Salt Chlorinator?

Hey,

I;ve recently moved into a property with a pool, and i've noticed my chlorinator wasn't working properly. It worked for the first few days, cause all the lights were on, then a few days later it just didnt turn on at all.
The brand is Diamond. I took it to the pool shop and they told me i friend my circut. Is this normal?

Another question is, I;ve been looking around for a new chlorinator. There are so many out there. How do i pick the right one suitable for me. How do i know which brands are good and which brands are bad?
