If you've got Cyanuric Acid (CYA) aka stabilizer or conditioner in the water, then the higher Free Chlorine (FC) level is not a problem and exposure of the water to sunlight should bring the chlorine level down. I fyou really want to lower the chlorine level quickly, you can add a chlorine neutralizer such as sodium thiosulfate.
