Hayward Northstar motor reassembly

Postby Trav85023 » Fri 07 May, 2010 15:29

Anybody have some troubleshooting options for reassembling a Hayward Northstar 1.5 motor?? I cannot get it 1/2 inch into pump....pool is already having problems and I really don't want to spend the time, money and labor to re-plumb!

Are you saying that you cannot get the LAST 1/2" into the pump? If so, try lubing the large o-ring with pool lube. That helps it slip into the housing. A litle twisting sometimes helps as well.
