I drained the pool last weekend due to high CYA levels. I tried to power-wash what I thought was algae today with no results. I tried brushing an area with 6% bleach and power-washing again. This also created no results. Lastly I cut a lemon in half and rubbed it over the stained surface. This worked great. I've attached pictures. The stain covers all painted surfaces of the pool. I really don't want to rub lemon halves across the whole pool. Is there a treatment I should do before refilling the pool or should I refill the pool & treat this stain then?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Acid in the lemon?
Then perhaps a brushing with dilute muratic acid would do the trick.

I agree. A light acid wash should take care of those stains. Mix, apply and brush the walls down with 1 part muriatic acid and about 5 parts water. Rinse down the walls when done. Should take care of those stains.
