Spa/Pool pump not working normally

Postby semore24 » Tue 15 Jun, 2010 20:03

Hey all, this is my 1st post on this site. But I have a problem with my pump running when I have valves open on both pool and hot tube. The water will drain out of the hot tube into the pool. I have played the valves to find a medium to where the water fills at the same rate it drains out of the spa but its never the same. Just last it over flowed out of the spa.

This cant be normal, I must be missing something. Is there something that can be to resolve this?

Thanks Mark

Close the spa suction valve. That is the problem. Don't worry, you're getting enough water into the spa through the return to keep the spa clean without having to run with the spa suction open.

This is the design, and it's the way it's supposed to run.

I have d tried this but the spa will over flow, I have tried to find the right spot on the valve but still even over flows or sucks to much water out. I was hoping that there was a device that could be placed some where that would regulate the water flow or maybe there might be some thing wrong with the valves. They are 10 years old.
