Flo error something stuck?

I returned home today to find the water swirling under the pool's filter basket and the heater registering "flo". I had no pressure on the pump gauge and when I shut the pump off and tried to backwash no water came out. Is something stuck or could someone have messed with the pool's valves? The pool was gurgling at the jets. Thanks!
