Brown water after adding pool bright

Our pool water went the color of strong tea overnight after adding pool bright which was supposed to take the cloudiness out of the water. I tested the water with the pool strips and evrything looks fine, but how do you get rid of the colored water. Will it eventually go away after going through several filters or do I have to drain the pool?
