PULLING HAIR OUT

Postby blantonfamily » Thu 15 Jun, 2006 10:56

Hi, Here is my problem, we filled our 18'x42' pool, water was very brownish orange when chlorine was added, knew this would happen, same trouble last year. Anyways, water cleared after weeks of filtering and more ph chemicals and a water clearifier. This year, the water went from brown to milky gray. Never had that one before. The test strip from hth (arch chemicals) reads:total hardness-200/400ppm, free chlorine-0/0-1/2ppm, ph-8.4 +, total alkalinity-180/240 (not sure because the dip stick is more in light blue color then grennish blue as shown on the box), cyanuric acid-150ppm. What next? About to refill this pool. Someone please HELP!!!
Thank You
Becca
