My Pool: I have an above ground 18 x33 pool with a sand filter

First time pool closing

Postby Erin619 » Mon 30 Aug, 2010 18:20

This is our first year with an above ground pool. It is an 18x33. Do I need to put a cover on it? I have absolutely no idea what to do to get it ready for closing. I am located in North Carolina. I have been searching the forum but cannot find step by step instructions for closing. HELP!

First time pool closing

Erin,

I also am in NC and choose not to close (cover) my pool. Some do and some don't and I'm still a little undecided as to what's best. Since I do not close (I simply scoop debris and maintain the pool as I do in the Summer), you can find better advice from those who do at troublefreepool.com. There is an article in their Pool School that adresses closing, I think.
