My Pool: Above ground 18ft pool with sand filter and solar heater.

Please help...first time pool owner.

I just finished installing an 18ft above ground pool with a sand filter. I had everything connected and completely forgot to backwash and rinse after putting my sand into the sand filter. I managed to stop it but still got a lot of sand dust in my pool and turn it brownish. I've added my chemcials and leaving my pump on for the next 24 hours. Will this fix it or do I need to do more?
Thank you for any help you can give.
Steph
