water temp.
We have a new 22' X 52" Intex above ground round pool. WE are using a blue solar cover and can not get the temp above 76. i think it was 78 for one day. We live in Colorado. I remove the cover in the day and put it back on in the evening and run my pump in the evening. The pool gets direct sunlight from 11am to 2 and half sunlight from 2-8pm. I am wandering if the type of vacuum i use is why? I am using the one that came with pool. It is the type you connect to the garden hose. I vacuum every other day or every day depending on dirt and we have a tree that has some branches that hangs over half of the pool.

Re: water temp.
I would run your pump during the day when it's hottest and not in the evening. This will allow the hot water on top to mix with the cooler water below (hot water rises)
With cooler water the solar gain is greater
Vacuuming has nothing to do with it
