Frogger

Need educated. Spa came with a frogger. Has a 3-4 month life expectancy - then replace. Rather expensive. Label said it injects minerals to water to help stabilize sanitizer which reduces frequency of testing/ What exactly does it do? I use Chlorine not Bromine....no issues with any parameters... Also have an ozonator...but not sure how this works or where the charged water enters...just know it's an oxidizer that works better with Bromine than Chlorine. How long is the ozonator effective before it needs maint or part replacement? Is the frogger worth continual investment?
Thanks,
Barry

I like the frogger but find it too expensive.
