CHLORINE PUCKS

Postby Paulinkingston » Thu 27 Oct, 2005 18:36

I purchased a bucket of pucks in late August but never ending up needing them, so the bucket is still sealed. Can these be kept until next year & used. If so can they be brought in side and kept in the house or do they need to be left outside. Thanks.

The tablets should keep till next year, but what ever you do DON'T take them in side. The tablets will slowly breakdown into a chlorine gas (the loss over 6 months will barley be perceptible) and will oxidize everything insight! Leave them outside in a well-vented area out of direct sunlight and preferably out of the weather. If you store it near anything metal you can kiss that goodbye it will be rusted or oxidized.
