Run two ECO 8110's?

Postby syazoo » Thu 13 May, 2021 17:06

Hi folks. First post here. I have moved from my 10 years with Intex pools to an 18'x52" Trevi Rio galvanized pool. I am happy to have this very nice pool. I am doing site prep at the moment and the install will be in about a week I hope. I have always preferred saltwater pools. I have always used the ECO 8110. The volume of the water in this pool is higher than the 8110 can service. I happen to own two of the 8110's. I am wondering if anyone knows if running both of my 8110's in line will give me the chlorination I need for the pool size. I think the max for one is 26,000 liters. I will have about 34,000 in my pool I think.

I could do something like skimmer > pump > filter > first 8110 > heater > second 8110 > return.

What say you guys?

I would be inclined to run through to the heater and then tee off the two 8110's and then tee back into the return to the pool
It should be OK as supplying 34k with 52k will allow less maximum use of the 8110's (that is not running 24 x 7)

Though I don’t have but one 8110, I would think it is doable, provided you had a way to tee a hose from the main filter pump to give you a hose to each of your swg’s, then tee both swg’s into the single inlet of your pool. As I said, it sounds like it would work in theory, but theory isn’t always the correct way.

Hope that helps. Hope someone is able to come along and provide a little more insight.

Oh, I also posted about my 8110 throwing off code 91. I don’t know if I have bad cells or a bad swg. If you are willing and have a chance, could you take a resistance reading with a multimeter to see if your resistance matches mine?

I get resistance, but it is jumping all over the place, like 560 to 1150 for both my ECO cell and Titanium cell.

That doesn’t seem accurate to me.
