Hole washed sand from bottom

Postby harrisdw » Wed 21 Jun, 2006 15:02

Just noticed a hole in the bottom of the pool right behind one of the post in an above ground pool. I repair the hole with the patch but have been unable to replace the sand that washed out due to the hole. The weight of the water on the liner pushes the liner down further. Any suggestions.

Hi, The only way to fix it is to drain the pool down to just a few inches. Not empty but close to it. You would need to pull a couple of top rails off and get in behind the liner with some sand.

If the dip is small it might not be a problem. If the dip is causing the liner to come in contact with the bottom rail I would drain ASAP.

Good luck, Dennis
