Ground water under inground pool

Postby McGreen » Tue 15 Apr, 2008 12:56

We have ground water beneath our pool on the deep end. Our contractor did not install a hydrostatic valve. He claimed that the water pressure will force the water out. We are waiting for our liner to be installed, the base is some kind of concrete material. If a hydrostatic valve is recommended, is it too late to install one?

Water under liner

Seen this before. The ansewer was to dig a sump pump hole near te pool and deeper than the water problem. This problem was on the low end of the pool, but a similar approach may work for you.

You need to be able to displace the water under the pool. I'm not sure if you can still ad a hydrostatic valve at this point. Let me know how you make out.
