Replace above ground liner

Postby Hoang » Tue 06 May, 2008 11:27

Hi all,

I have above ground oval pool (think it's 15'x24') 3ft deep that needs a new liner. Any suggestion of what the thickness, brand might be? What I need to look into? This is the first time I've done, so i am at lost. What is the estimate for part and labor to have this done? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks
Nick

I googled pool liners and went from there when I did mine last summer. I believe I went with a 25 guage... I think it was. It's a bit thicker than 20. The higher the guage, the better but you'll pay more.

I think you could do this yourself with a few buddies to be honest with a couple shop vacs to suck air from the liner/walls making a seal.

You could definately save $$ by DIY. 8) I believe in my neck of the woods, I would have been charged $400 or more.

DIY! 8)
