Pebbletech- Is extreme fading normal for Baja ledges?

Postby NC Pool Owner » Sat 27 Mar, 2021 13:26

Only 10 months ago, my pool was completely refinished in Blue Surf PebbleTech.

My Baja ledge is now almost entirely grey (presumably from sun damage). The pool bottom remains blue. The three spots underneath the seats on the Baja ledge (where the sun doesn’t shine) remain blue. Is this normal? I was not expecting such extreme fading so quickly.

I feel like I bought a blue pool that is quickly turning grey. If this is normal, it seems like a huge drawback to PebbleTech that more people should know about.

I have heard of this before, how is the color above the waterline where the sun hits it?
