I have a 20,000 gal saltwater pool with a MaxFlo VS 500 pump, SwimClear C200S Filter, and AquaRite AQR9 Cl Generator. The current pump settings are 2200rpm 8am-3pm ..... 3100rpm 3pm-9pm ..... 1100rpm 9pm-8am. I've had some recent issues with what appears to be algae forming (possibly mustard) and my chemical balance has been on target, and even a bit high on chlorine and I wash the filter when I see 8-10 psi back pressure. I've shocked the pool twice and added flucculant (left for 12 hrs overnight pump off) and vacuumed which helped some but just can't get rid of the green cloudiness in the water. What am I doing wrong?
pH 7.28
TCl >10
FCl >10
Hardness 250 ppm
T-Alk 80 ppm
CYA 50 ppm
Salt Conc 3300 ppm

If you have algae forming you need to Slam (Shock Level and Maintain) with relation to Chlorine / CYA Chart and Recommended Pool Levels

Re: Can't get rid of the green cloudiness
Well I figured out the problem......TOO MUCH CHLORINE! I shut down the salt chlorinator and ran the filter at a high rpm for about 3 days and had about 3-4 inches rainfall within that period time and the pool finally cleared up.
