Hi,
I have a pool that has an intake at the bottom. There is a problem with a valve outside the intake pipe that I need to replace. However, since this intake is way below the valve, and there is no other shutoff point, if I cut the valve out of the system, water will flow out the pipe opening. Of course, I could drain the pool but that is really a last resort.
If I don't drain the pool I have to go down to the pool bottom and pull off the leaf guard but what is the best way to block that intake? I don't immediately know what the intake pipe size is. There must be some kind of product that is used for this purpose.
Thank You
Tom
