Our new pool (2 weeks old) showed white blotchy discoloration all over the plaster. It is very noticeable after 4pm when the sun goes down. It looks like the crew did a bad job applying the plaster. There is white discoloration all over the place. The construction manager said to brush the pool everyday, and we've been doing that, but nothing happens to those discolored spots. Note - this is not the small white calcium spots. This are large areas of discoloration in the plaster. Almost like they didn't apply it evenly. See photos (although it's hard to see b/c of the sun - looks worse in person).
1. What is this?
2. Should I be demanding the pool company fix this? or is this just the work of the trade?
