Can this be fixed? Next steps

1st time doing a pool. 18’ x 48 intex with 10” intex sand filter. Because of our location we couldnt get water delivered so we had to resort to the well. We knew the iron content was bad based on the tests we’ve had done by culligan. Finished filling, turned on the filter and the next thing i want to do is panic. Ive seen swamps with better looking water. It is pure brown, i can see into the water about 12” then my hand disappears. Iron galore. I havent done any chemicals, just the sand filter. Should i be patient and hope the sand filter eventually takes care of this? Should i go get my water tested assp and do what they say? Local hardware store has clorox DE media and filter aid, would this help?

There are a lot of videos on YouTube. Search "Remove Iron/Rust From Pools Filled with Well Water"
They are containers filled with polyfill and the water circulated through it
