Just want to know...

Postby sparkwatercleaner » Sat 29 Sep, 2007 09:13

The other day I want out to my garden and I saw that, when the filter was running, water was comming out from the waste line. So, I got to the filter to check it and I saw that the multiport valve was set halfway between "Filter" and "Waste". I turned off the pump and dialed the valve to "Filter". When I turned on the pump again, everything was OK and no water was comming out from the waste line.
Now, is the multiport valve OK or not? How do I make sure? Does some part of it wear out when running on such way?
I'll appreciate any help.

it's good, it would still be leaking if something was wrong with spider gasket.

So, the valve is ok and it FILTERS ok? I mean, how can I know if water is by-passing the filter?

your filter gauge should show pressure.
