new pool question

Postby Jill » Thu 19 May, 2005 14:18

Hi everyon!

We will be having our inground installed next Wednesday.
Our land where the pool will be going is at a slope approx a 3' slope from one end of pool to the other and we might have a problem with getting deep enough for the 8' end because of the soil.
The pool company said if they can't get deep enough on the deep end they will go down as far as they can 5 to 6' and bring dirt from the lower end to fill in the deeper end.
My question is this going to be sturdy enough with new dirt surounding the deep end.

My pool is 18 x 36 vinyl steel shell with bracing. I live in New York

It might be a stupid question but I don't want to pay this much money and have the wall fall in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jill :?:

So how did the dig go? I see it's been a week since your post and they should've started yesterday, right? Personally, I think it's BS that they can't dig the full 8' if that's what you agreed on. I'd find another pool contractor.
