Abv grnd pool built on sand...

Just setup my first ever pool (15' round, steel wall) based on some YouTube vids, and filled it up. Now I am realizing I must have misunderstood, as I installed the wall tracks over compacted sand, which I guess is a no-no.

What can I do now to prevent that sand from washing away?

Would add a 1/4 minus gravel all around and up against the pool wall help keep the sand in place?

Maybe some ground fabric?

**(The base consists of compacted level earth, patio tiles under each leg, and 2-3 compacted sand level with tops of tiles)
